Payment for legal services
The legal arrangement of the lawyer’s fee for legal services carried out is covered by Act No. 586/2003 Coll., concerning advocacy, and by the Slovak Ministry of Justice, Regulation No. 655/2004 Coll., concerning the fees and compensation of lawyers for providing legal services (hereinafter referred to only as "Regulation").
According to Provision §1 Sec. 2 of the above mentioned regulation, the lawyer’s fee is determined on the basis of agreement between the lawyer and his/her client (hereinafter referred to only as the "contractual fee"); if no agreement can be come to, provisions of this regulation concerning the tariff fee are used to determine the lawyer's fee. When entering into a contract concerning the provision of legal services, the lawyer can agree with the client about the method and amount of the fee. However, the amount of the fee must not be immoral. The fee also includes administration work and other work carried out in connection with providing legal services. The fee does not include compensation for the time spent travelling, while carrying out legal actions outside the law office’s quarters and the compensation of real expenses.

An agreed stated flat sum, it can be agreed for providing legal services in a certain time period or for an indefinite time period, or for a complete settlement of a matter or set of matters.
An hourly fee
It can be agreed by determining the number of hours necessary to provide legal services.
Stock option
It can be agreed in the form of shares to the value of the item that is the subject of a proceeding, before a court, or other authority. The maximum amount of stock option must not exceed 20% of the item's value.
Tariff fee
Basic rate of the tariff fee is determined according to the tariff's value of the item, the type of item or the right, and according to the number of acts that the lawyer carried out in the matter.

Payment conditions and payment methods are determined on the basis of agreement between the lawyer and the client.
